Because of continuing growth, our Shoes For Crews is looking to strengthen the team in the DACH area. We are looking to find a proactive and result oriented person to take responsibility for Southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Job description

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for the generation of new business revenue, as well as developing existing accounts with a 50/50 focus being on new business development. You will be tasked with recommending appropriate solutions based upon qualified requirements to a range of business customers from SMEs to large Corporate. You will be targeted around new business activity and will be responsible for generating your own appointments as well as following up leads from our sales support team. This role will suit a proactive and ambitious sales professional with a proven track record in business-to business sales. Responsible for developing business for the public and industrial sector in new and existing key accounts within targeted regions, working within the German Sales Team providing proactive and positive service to SFCE’s customers. The individual will be responsible to manage and proactively develop sales, follow sales leads, and develop existing accounts in line with SFCE’s policies and procedures, supporting the National Sales Manager (NSM) to grow SFCE’s business in key markets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To meet all targets set around – New Business Revenue, Customer Meetings, Sales KPI’s.
  • Establish regular and effective communication with all Decision Makers of won business accounts you
    own.
  • Produce a monthly forecast to include successfully identifying new business to close.
  • Maximise revenue by cross and up selling.
  • Be pro-active in your approach to customer acquisition.
  • Build a strong business pipeline.
  • Develop an in depth understanding of SFCE solution.
  • Ensure best practice in your approach to selling.
  • Follow up leads provided internally to win new business.
  • Take personal responsibility to build and maintain industry and competitor knowledge.
  • Acquire competitor information on products, pricing, marketing performance, strengths, and
    weaknesses.
  • Ensure CRM is accurately up to date with account activity.

Sales Development:

  • Maximise sales including of our new product range for the public and industrial sector through new and
    key accounts, strengthening and building relationships between SFCE and our Customers.
  • Execute sales plans in-line with SFCE regional objectives traveling to meet existing and new customers as
    required.
  • Negotiate new and existing contracts liaising with the National Sales Manager and Sales Director,
    working within the parameters provided by SFCE.
  • Maximise the introduction of NPD and promotional plans with all key accounts.
  • Implement and assist in telesales and poster campaigns.
  • Support the NSM to increase penetration and sales through corporate accounts and wholesalers.
  • Establish commercially and customer focused plans as a result of insights and knowledge of key
    accounts.
  • Support the NSM in regional trade shows and following up leads.
  • Any other duties as relevant to sales development

Administration:

  • Accounts Receivable follow up with customers on “aged balances” as per company policy.
  • Ensure all accounts are kept in line with SFCE’s standard credit terms.
  • Update and maintain all account records in the CRM System
  • Support the National Sales Manager in the Period and annual forecasting process.
  • Produce Monthly sales reports on key account and portfolio performance.
  • Any other duties as relevant to the administration of customer needs.

Customer Care:

  • Support Customers in managing their stock levels and order processing through SFCE.
  • Respond to all customer queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide customers with solutions in the most cost-effective way for SFCE and the Customer
  • Take ownership of all customer enquiries gaining a full understanding of our customers’ needs and
    requirements.
  • Maintain contact with customers to build relationships and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Any other duties as relevant to customer care.

Candidate profile

  • Minimum 2 years field sales experience including a track record of winning new business via face-to-face
    meetings with business decision makers.
  • Experience of selling to Health and Safety professionals.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets / KPI’s.
  • Able to identify and influence key decision makers.
  • Experience of accurate forecasting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Confident, assertive, and professional in all internal and external dealings.
  • Ability to analyse customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Technically adept – able to quickly learn and understand new products.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with experience of managing own time and
    prioritising own workload.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Willing to travel weekly while spending some time away from home.
  • Experience in selling PPE.
  • Experience working with Distributors.
  • Full EU driving license.
