Job description

As the Area Sales Manager for South West Europe you will bring your PPE and/or workwear experience to sell FTG
safety shoes to distributors and importers, mainly throughout two networks of agents and reporting to the
Worldwide Sales Manager.

We have had a good growth over the past years and we are looking for you to join to continue this growth
trajectory. Among all, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate two networks of agents, throughout animating, motivating and recruiting additional ones, on
    a multi-millions euro’s business.
  • Build quality business relationships with new and (main) existing accounts.
  • Conduct daily face-to-face sales meetings to maintain and develop relationships with distributors and
    resellers.
  • Identify existing customers with high growth potential and create a roadmap for their further
    development.
  • Identify new business opportunities and complete country sales planning schedules, on yearly basis.
    Provide FTG H.Q. with monthly reports.
  • Engage in consultative selling by identifying customers’ needs for bulky personalized products and work
    with FTG H.Q. for solutions to meet those needs.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers,
    including main professional centrales d’achat.
  • Focus on selling new FTG products by bringing samples to each meeting.
  • Ensure effective after meeting follow up to close sales.
  • Contribute to collecting strategic market information by tracking competitor products and participate to
    marketing events such as trade shows, seminars and exhibitions.
  • Promote distributor promotions on our products with end users.
  • You and your customers will be supported with a recently developed digital systems CRM including
    modules for quotes and customer orders.

Candidate profile

To become the Area Sales Manager for South West Europe you should possess the following skills & qualifications:

  • 3-5 years PPE, workwear or safety wear sales experience is essential.
  • Additional sales experience in a related industry who shares the same distributor’s network will also be
    considered such as Automotive, Tools, Chemicals, MRO’s etc.
  • Appetite to continue sales growth of FTG through field sales, consolidating main markets.
  • Excellent (personal) communication and leadership skills.
  • Fluent both in French and English. Basic Spanish appreciated.
  • Clean driving license and willingness to drive extensively throughout your main designated regions and
    fly to Eu and North Africa satellite ones.
  • Ability to work remotely.
  • Resident in central/east France (Lyon will be appreciated).

    salary (80k €), MBO commission scheme, which is commensurate with experience.

  • You will receive training in Italy at FTG H.Q. sales department on our products, sales methodology and digital sales systems.
  • You will join an established team who understand our products, sales approach and target markets.

Procedure

The total procedure will take a minimum of 3 interviews. A personality analysis may be part of the procedure.
