We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the expansion of a multi-brand safety footwear and workwear portfolio across the DACH region. This role is central to accelerating market penetration across wholesale, digital channels, and drop-shipment models, while strengthening strategic customer relationships and identifying new growth opportunities. The portfolio includes leading international safety and lifestyle workwear brands such as: Timberland PRO, Caterpillar, Hard Yakka, Hunter Safety, Amblers Safety, Muck Boot

Functieomschrijving

  • Develop and execute a 360° commercial strategy across the DACH region, covering wholesale, digital commerce, and drop-shipment channels
  • Identify, acquire, and develop new business opportunities with distributors, key accounts, buying groups and strategic retail partners
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities, from prospecting to contract negotiation and implementation
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth across the assigned brand portfolio
  • Strengthen relationships with existing customers while expanding penetration within target accounts
  • Work closely with operations, supply chain, and product teams to ensure seamless execution of go-to-market strategies
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adjust commercial strategy accordingly
  • Represent the company in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events across the region

  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-growing environment
  • Highly curious and proactive in identifying new opportunities and market gaps
  • Strong field orientation – comfortable spending significant time with customers and partners
  • Highly results-driven with a proven track record in delivering revenue growth
  • Ability to manage complexity across multiple brands, channels, and stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen with understanding of multi-channel B2B and B2B2C models
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven experience in business development or senior sales roles within safety footwear, PPE, workwear, or related industrial sectors
  • Strong knowledge of the DACH distribution landscape (wholesale, buying groups, retail, and e-commerce ecosystems)
  • Experience managing multi-brand portfolios in a matrix organization
  • Familiarity with digital commerce and drop-shipment models is highly desirable
  • Native German speaking
